In ten large and medium-sized Chinese cities including Beijing and Shanghai, females earned RMB7,267.2 per month on average last year, according to a report on Chinese women´s living conditions. The average expected salary was RMB11,554. Only 20% of the respondents were satisfied with the current income, the report said. Women in Beijing had the most negative views on their living environment. Tourism was the biggest consumption expenditure for Chinese women in 2014, ending the 7-year dominance of clothing.
